Your result will be reported in GPL-M units. Here is what the ranges generally indicate:

For most people, the result comes back negative and that is completely normal. A negative result means no significant antibody activity was detected in your blood.
That said, a negative result does not always rule out APS completely. If your symptoms continue, your doctor may want to investigate further.
The normal range for this test is below 20 GPL-M units. If your result falls in the borderline or high range, do not panic. Your doctor will look at that number alongside your symptoms, your medical history, and any other tests you have had because no single number tells the whole story.
If a clearer picture is needed, your doctor may recommend testing for both Anti Cardiolipin IgM and Anti Cardiolipin IgG together. Running both at the same time gives a broader and more accurate view of what your immune system is doing.
